With a background in product design consultancy and, more recently, as Design Manager for a major prototyping and product development company, I have a deep understanding of the whole product development process: From initial concept design, through design and engineering development, prototyping, and on to manufacture.
I've worked on a wide variety of projects: design and innovation for consumer and industrial electronics, FMCG, packaging, fitness equipment, food vending equipment, medical devices, bottles and caps, motorsport; and prototyping and process development for FMCG, automotive, consumer healthcare and other industries.

Having designed countless prototype injection mould and blow mould tools has given me a rare level of insight into the implications of a product’s design on the final manufacturing process.
Whilst the majority of my work involves injection- or blow-moulded plastics, I also work on projects using cast, machined and fabricated metal; thermoformed plastics; GRP; cast resins etc.
Industrial design rarely defines a product on its own – there are frequently other disciplines involved, such as electronic or mechanical engineering for example. Broad technical knowledge allows me to work effectively with specialists from all such fields of expertise, and manage the whole process if required, whilst protecting the fundamental design intent.
In my years working in this industry, I have built up a network of trusted and high-quality service suppliers, covering a wide variety of skills, such as modelmaking, rapid prototyping, toolmaking and moulding, programming, electrical engineering to name but a few.
